Uncertain Times…COVID-19 Updates
September 17, 2020
Dear friends of Red Door,
We’re so excited about our Cinco de Mayo event and can’t wait to see everyone who can come out! As we got ready for this event, we realized that preparing the building and the staff for “regular” service was a bigger undertaking than we had anticipated.
We’ve been busy behind the scenes making building improvements, training our staff, and creating a menu that we think you’ll love. This challenging situation has left many business owners scrambling to make game-time decisions, learn new processes, and shift on the fly. While we miss ‘business as usual’ as much as everyone else, we don’t take the decision to reopen lightly. Therefore, we will not be opening our porch for dine-in service for at least another week and our indoor space will remain closed until we feel it is ready for our guests to have the best experience.
Moving forward we highly recommend reservations, or calling ahead (even for the porch), so we can properly prepare for you and ensure adequate space.
As always, we appreciate the support of this community so much and we look forward to the next phase of our new normal!
Cheers!
Richard, Lucy, and the Red Door Team

As a community-driven restaurant, the health and wellbeing of our staff and patrons is our utmost concern. In addition to our regular policies and procedures, we are taking additional safety precautions in accordance with recommendations from the health department as it pertains to COVID-19. Our intention is to remain open for as long as it makes sense in order to serve our community.
As you know, this is a very fluid situation, and we are monitoring it closely. We are currently working on delivery options, online ordering, meal prep, and curbside pickup for an additional to-go menu that we will share with you soon. Chef Lucy (our new rock star chef) is working on that menu today, March 16, and we will share those options with you soon. We will also be open throughout the day and will not close for the hours between lunch and dinner. Come enjoy our open-air front porch from 11:30am – 9pm, Tuesday – Thursday, and 11:30am – 10pm, Friday & Saturday.
As a way to serve our guests during this uncertain time, we are excited to announce that Red Door Hoodies are back! Enjoy a dinner for (at least) two people, including salad, dinner, desert and a bottle of wine. Starting Tuesday, March 17, you can choose between whole roasted free range chicken or house meatloaf. Both are served with roasted, early spring vegetables, garden salad, house baked chocolate chip cookies and a choice of either pinot grigio, chardonnay, or cabernet. The price is $37. Please call the Red Door to place your order and let us know your desired pick-up time. We are also offering delivery in the Lake Morton and Dixieland area for $5.
None of us know what the next couple of weeks will look like; but we want you to know we appreciate your patronage and welcome you to come enjoy the door! We’re here for you, and we’ll get through this as a community – together.
